Autumn Sights and Sounds

autumnFall is a wonderful time to be in Yellowstone's Backcountry. The summer crowds are gone, the cottonwood trees have turned to brilliant gold, crisp, clear evenings are perfect for stargazing, and all around you are the sounds of bugling elk. We will enjoy this September's solitude as we listen for the elk, the sandhill cranes, and the wolves. These trips continue to grow in popularity as our guest’s desire to "get-away-from-it-all" in the Backcountry of Yellowstone.

Due to the increased demand for shorter pack trips or day rides in September, we are going to devote the remaining dates to "Autumn Sights and Sounds."

September 11-14: "Broad Creek"

Limited to: 8 guests

You don’t have to commit to a week long pack trip to get an action packed adventure. Broad Creek in September has consistently provided us with great wildlife including: elk, buffalo, grizzly bear and wolves in this pristine part of the Pelican Valley. The Broad Creek area also has great thermal areas, as well as several lakes teaming with waterfowl.

September 19-21: "Cache Creek"

Limited to: 8 guests (Sold Out)

Bugling elk, trumpeting sandhill cranes, braying mules, babbling streams, star lit nights and fall colors await us on this adventure. This fall pack trip is a perfect time to listen to the elk bugle and wolves howl. Fly fish and just enjoy the changing of the season in this part of Yellowstone’s Backcountry. Three days won’t be long enough once you are nestled along the creek, but it’s a great get away that marks the coming of fall.
